MAIN NUÉ is a design and repair studio based in Stockholm, Sweden. Specializing in the art of repairing, reshaping, and rethinking existing materials, MAIN NUÉ breathes new life into discarded and displaced textiles.
At the heart of MAIN NUÉ's brand ethos is the exploration of repair as a creative design tool. Their mission revolves around mending the past to shape the future of fashion, rooted in an appreciation for patina and a fondness for the old, broken, and torn. Through a blend of traditional mending techniques and crafts, MAIN NUÉ presents a subtle and sincere product, providing a second chance for items.
All materials are locally sourced, consisting mainly of textiles that have been discarded and would otherwise go to waste. By purchasing a MAIN NUÉ item or using the 'Personal Repair' service, you contribute to the philosophy of keeping things in motion and caring for what’s already made.
The design and repair studio was founded in 2019 by Maja Freiman and Alva Johansson. Since 2024 MAIN NUÉ is the textile artist and designer Maja Freiman.
